Baros resumes training

19/06/2006: Milan Baros is set to resume training on Monday, but is unlikely to be fit enough to face Italy in their final crucial group game.

The 24-year-old Aston Villa star has been hampered with a foot injury, which he picked up during a pre-World Cup friendly match against Trinidad & Tobago, and has been forced to sit-out the Czech's first two group games.

Despite the return he is a doubt for their all-important game against Italy, but could rejoin the starting line-up if the side qualifies for the knock-out stage of the tournament.

Bruckner confirmed: "He will only undertake light fitness work"

A spokesman for the side added: "The accumulated humour in the foot has been absorbed and the crack is healed up."
