Baros a doubt for opener
10/06/2006: Milan Baros is only an "outside option" for the Czech Republic's World Cup opener against USA after failing to shake off a foot injury.
The 24-year-old striker strained a foot tendon during a warm-up session prior to their game against Trinidad & Tobago last Saturday.
Team doctors had said that he was recovering well and looked set to line up with the rest of their squad on Monday when they face USA, but the Aston Villa striker failed to join the rest of the squad for training today.
Team medic Petr Krejci now admits that his hopes of being fit for their first game looks slim.
