Argentina v Germany Team News
30/06/2006: The hosts are expected to have captain Michael Ballack available, while Luis Gonzalez should be passed fit to play for Argentina.
Ballack missed training earlier this week with a foot injury, but the new Chelsea signing is now back preparing with the rest of the squad and should start the Munich clash.
Speaking ahead of the game, the midfielder insisted: "We do not fear anyone. Argentina are a top-class team and deserve our respect but we are confident of beating them to reach the semi-final."
Miroslav Klose has also been suffering with tendonitis but the tournament's leading scorer is also expected to start the quarter final clash.
Meanwhile, Argentina coach Jose Peckerman has been boosted by the news that Gonzalez has recovered from a groin injury and should be fit to play on the right-hand side of midfield.
Defender Nicolas Burdisso is still doubtful with a knee injury and is expected to be handed a late fitness test, while Leandro Cufre is being tipped to replace West Ham's Lionel Scaloni.
