Angola seek Chelsea help

24/04/2006: The Angolan are set to ask Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to help with their World Cup preparations.

The African nation, who have qualified for their first World Cup tournament, hope Mourinho will take on the role of coaching assessor as well as aid the build up to the competition which begins on June 9.

The Portuguese-born coach has links to the country, as it is his wife's nation of birth.

However, English champions Chelsea could be loath to sanction the appointment as they will be keen for Mourinho to concentrate on transfer matters during the summer.

Another stumbling block would be the fact Angola will be competing against his native Portugal in the opening group stage.
