Goncalves goes with experience
14/05/2006: There was only one uncapped player in Angola's 23-man World Cup squad named by coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves on Sunday.
Third choice keeper Mario will get a chance to attend the finals in a squad that sees just four changes from the team that disappointed in the African Nations Cup.
"These are the best players we have available in terms of quality and we are going to prepare the best we can with them," Goncalves told Reuters.
"We are going to try to create a cohesive, determined team that will fight to the end.
"We don't have big players, big talents, but we play together.
"We are aware that we are one of the most humble teams in the tournament but we will do everything we can. It is going to be difficult to get through to the next round because our opposition is very strong."
The opposition talked about are Portugal, Mexico and Iran.

Goalkeepers: Joăo Ricardo (unattached), Lama (Petro Atletico), Mário (InterClube).
Defenders: Jamba (AS Aviacao), Kali (FC Barreirense), Lebo Lebo (Petro Atletico), Loco (Primeiro Agosto), Marco Abreu (Portimonense), Marco Airosa FC Barreirense), Rui Marques (Hull City), Delgado (Petro Atletico).
Midfielders: André (Kuwait SC, Kuwait), Edson (Pacos Ferreira), Mendonca (Varzim), Miloy (InterClube), Zé Kalanga (Petro Atletico), Figueiredo (Varzim).
Forwards: Mateus (Gil Vicente), Akwá (unattached), Andre Titi Buengo (Clermont Foot), Flávio (Al Ahli), Mantorras (Benfica), Love (AS Aviacao).
The Angola squad includes ten home-based players, seven who ply their trade in Portugal, a player each from England, France, Kuwait and Egypt as well as two players not currently under contract to any club.
"For us, it is a victory just to be at the World Cup. We are going to try to play well and represent our country and the African continent with dignity," Goncalves added.
