Last week on A2B World Cup, we debated whether England's opening game of the World Cup was must win. Well after Saturday's disappointing draw with them lot from across the pond, it really is a case of must win for England against Algeria in Cape Town.

I know there are hundreds of Hitler spoof videos going around the internet but I thought this short clip - only 26 seconds - is excellent about Vuvuzelas you buy. Not Vuvuzela ringtones obviously, but the real thing.

If you thought there was nothing more annoying than the vuvuzela, well think again. Now there are Vuvuzela ringtones.

A recent comment on an innocuous story poking fun at German coach Joachim Löw's dress sense showed me some people from the USA don't particularly understand football and certainly some do not have a sense of humour.

It's not all betting odds on a2bworldcup.com we sometimes just put pictures of Maradona to cheer up the Argentine fans ahead of the Argentina v South Korea match

Although some may have bad dress sense, Germans and Germany is a fun country, exemplified by this re-working of the Eurovision winner (yes, they won it) entitled Schland oh Schland.

After suggesting yesterday Netherlands v Denmark would be my only live blog, I'm back with Portugal v Ivory Coast. The team sheets are in and Didier Drogba is on the bench for Cote d'Ivoire as some of you like to call them.

Perhaps the most shocking moment of the World Cup so far came in the Germany and Australia game. No, not the red card for Tim Cahill, which I think should be rescinded (what was the referee thinking?).

Whilst admiring the remarkable outfit Cameroon keeper Souleymanou Hamidou was sporting against Japan it dawned on me that I've seen this style somewhere before. It all came flooding back. Yep, it's exactly what editor Dave Allan used to wear during his university days. It was definitely one of his old jumpers.

It's been nearly 48 hours, we have all had a chance to reflect on the game, but only one talking point remains. And while the whole of the world wonders what on earth Rob Green was doing, Fabio Capello has to make a decision, on whether to bet on sticking with the West Ham man for the now massive game with Algeria on Friday.

Well, I think it’s safe to say it’s been a World Cup opening to forget, as far as entertainment, quality and goals are concerned, at least until the
Germans stepped up last night with a performance worthy of the world stage.
Excitedly, I got the drinks in (Yazoo chocolate milk) and cleared my work desk on Friday afternoon to sit back and pretend to be writing a report to my boss while I watched South Africa vs Mexico. Unfortunately, the ITV Player wouldn’t work and so I had to listen to the first hour or so on Radio 5 while I searched all over for a site that was streaming. Eventually, someone on Facebook told me I could watch it on an Iraqi website, and so that’s what I did for the last part. Not really worth it, to be honest. And how bleeding annoying are those horns? Surely FIFA should be banning them. Have you heard one good thing said about them by anybody? Anybody?

A scorching day in Glasgow inspires an afternoon of barbecued burgers and beer drinking, followed by an evening of football and more beer drinking.
