After finishing top of Group A Uruguay will take on South Korea in the last 16 of the World Cup as the tournament enters is most interesting betting phase.
Uruguay finished their group undefeated winning two games and drawing one, earning them seven points. Although they were originally not one of the favourites to do well in South Africa, they have been excellent so far, and with the deadly duo of Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez, the South Korea defence will have to be at their very best to advance to the quarter finals.
You have to say that Uruguay have done well to win their group as they have finished above France and Mexico who aren't a bad side as we saw against England. The South Americans look a very difficult side to break down, and goalkeeper Fernando Muslera is yet to concede a goal.
Coach Oscar Tabarez will have a full squad to choose from, although Jorge Fucile is on a yellow card and will have to be careful not to pick up a booking, because he won't want to miss the Quarter Final should Uruguay progress.
But it is Forlan and Suarez who will be key to any success against South Korea, The Uruguayan strikers are amongst the very best in South Africa, and will pose a threat to the best of defenders. Tabarez will probably opt to keep with Edison Cavani, meaning Forlan will once again be deployed in a deeper role.
This will be a big worry for South Korea, who conceded 4 goals against Argentina. But it must be said they have done well to finish above Greece and finish second in Group B. Although they have only won one game, they have done enough to go through with four points scoring five goals.
Even though South Korea go into the game as underdogs, if Manchester United's Park Ji Sung can continue his impressive World Cup we could be set for another surprise from the Asian side. Just from watching Korea you learn that although they may lack quality, they play together as a team very well, and they will always be a tough nut to crack.
Like Uruguay, Korea have a full squad to chose from, and Park Chu Young will be key to any success, having scored two goals so far in South Africa. Defender Lee Jung Soo is also one to watch out for at set plays having also scored twice so far.
This might be a bit closer then everyone expects, and it will certainly make for an interesting affair in Port Elizabeth, but you just feel that Uruguay may have a little bit too much quality for South Korea, and they should edge this game.
