Joachim Löw - Badly Dressed Boy

England World Cup Blog

Perhaps the most shocking moment of the World Cup so far came in the Germany and Australia game. No, not the red card for Tim Cahill, which I think should be rescinded (what was the referee thinking?).

Instead, it was the German management team doing their best to maintain 'the Germans have sh*t dress sense' stereotype with their blue t-shirt and suit jacket combination (what were they thinking?).

I didn't notice but I wouldn't be surprised if they were also wearing jeans. Can just imagine Joachim Low and assistant Hans-Deiter Lick reBadly dressed Germanslaxing post game by listening to David Hasselhoff's greatest hits and debating who is the best in Europe. The singer or the drummer? Answers in the comment box please.

you suck. respect other teams including team management you bloody hoe-faced fag. i bet germany could beat the usa, unlike the england, 1-1...common you guys have amazing players yet fail to perform great at such high stakes were it really matters.
i bet you dress worse, especially capello so serious all the time, no room for joy?
get a life and don't get on anybody's back- who knows, you might end up collapsing because of the weight on your back.

@jake barry From the expression, 'you suck'- I'm guessing you are an American. Well, lighten up buddy. Don't take things too seriously. It's only a bit of fun.

Hey Jake Barry. I've never been so offended in my life. No way do I dress worse... except maybe for a fancy dress party or a sleepover (not that I've ever done one). If you feel it's the norm for a nations management team to stand on the sidelines in their pyjamas, well... that's fine with me.
Common man... sorry. C'mon man, don't take it so seriously. I don't know about you, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what they wear in the next game!

Ha ha ha! Jake, calm down, lad.

"Tony, tony... is this your cheesecloth shirt? And are these your two-tuck slash-pocket granite wash jeans?"

@deutschermichel That's a low blow - some writers haven't got the German ö on their keyboard.

I live in Germany and yes many of them dress badly here but of the older men most of them look amazingly well put together. Jogi is the face of Nivea for men over here and he puts the other coaches to absolute shame with his dress sense. I have a strong interest in fashion and only a mild one in soccer so I think I know better than anyone who has a soccer blog. This wasn't his best but the cardigan combo and then the trench were amazing. He is leaving the crusty old coaches for every other team in the dust. Plus he is painfully good looking.

Sounds like you're quite a fan jogi4president! I'm not sure about the good looking comment, but at least Jogi and his assistants are making an effort. The cardigan combo and trench coat were certainly an improvement on the t-shirt and suit jacket (above) which I'm still struggling to accept. I'm looking forward to seeing what he wears for the England game. Possibly a pink turtle neck with yellow slacks. I'm sure he won't look as good as Fabio in his sharp Italian suits.

Must admit that Jogi Low actually looks ok in comparison to Dunga, who looks like he got dressed in the dark. In a second hand clothes shop.

I see what you mean. Dunga was dressed like a alky tramp. They deserved to lose.

Yes, I think Löw is quite the fashion plate with his co-ordinated scarves, button-up cardis under the jacket and of course the trademark "Jog-blue" v-neck. He looks like he spends a bit of time on that floppy hair, too. In fact, he looked like he was dressed to queue up to get into a chic wine bar during the match against Uruguay, rather than to spend 90 minutes at the side of a muddy football pitch in the pouring rain.
