Humberto Suazo - Players to star in South Africa

Humberto Andres Suazo Pontivo is probably know better as simply Humberto Suazo and was born in San Antonio, Chile on May 10th 1981.
The stocky bustling striker does not live and breathe football, like others involved in the game, and at times has lacked the will to bother much with training or indeed care too much about the points of view of team-mates or management alike. Suazo admitted that he threw away his early chances in football and was more interested in his social life, but real talent usually finds a way.
Suazo had been largely ignored by the bigger clubs in Chile until his emergence as a potent goal threat with 40 goals in 40 games for San Luis Quilotta in their third division. Moving up the leagues and continuing to score plenty Humberto found himself the target for Mexican side Monterrey, who secured his services .
The striker again struggled to find his focus though and having been linked away to Argentine side Independiente gave and extraordinary press conference where he suggested that he could and would do a lot better. He effectively asked for and got a fresh start.
Despite making improvements with Monterrey and grabbing a goal every other game the striker was loaned out to Real Zaragoza last season who have an option to buy him.
His attitude when playing with the Chilean national side though is not in question and he is the key to any potential success the South American’s might have. He has grabbed 18 goals in 42 games for his country and we are likely to see his trademark celebration of fingers in ears this tournament, because Humberto will score and he does not care what you have to say!
